Whether you’re training for a fall marathon or half – or are simply adding more miles to your daily run to enjoy the warmer weather – knowing the difference between being sore and being injured is crucial to having a successful season. Join Kim McManus, AT, ATC of Premier Orthopedics to learn when and how to seek professional evaluation and treatment. She will also discuss how to manage an injury appropriately. In addition, Kim will share the risks of having weak core muscles and a few simple steps to strengthen them – an important part of injury prevention.

Kim McManus, AT, ATC is an athletic trainer at Premier Orthopedics. With nearly 20 years of experience, she specializes in many areas including triage, concussion testing, injury care education, and home exercise instruction. Kim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Pittsburg and is a Certified ImPACT® Trained Athletic Trainer. She is also a certified member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and is licensed by the State of Ohio.
