Our humble beginnings: Owner Susie Stein's introduction to running and fundraising come full circle this month at Up and Running.
Susie first found running through Team in Training, raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society while training for marathons, triathlons and cycling events. During the many miles together, she and friends discussed how they didn't have a local run/walk shop to call their own, Up and Running was born. Fast forward almost 18 years and Up and Running's mission continues to include giving back to the community through year-round charitable events.
During the month of June Up and Running is teaming up with the Leukemia and Lymphoma society to raise money for their Dare to Dream Project! Next time you are in to shop. Round up your purchase by a few cents, donate a dollar or two or many as we help raise money so Kids With Blood Cancer Thrive!
In addition, all of the proceeds from the UAR Fun In The Sun Kids Triathlon will be donated to the LLS Dare to Dream Project! Every little bit counts and we are excited to have this opportunity as we honor our humble beginnings.
