Running & Walking Groups
Join our running and walking groups in Dayton and Troy. It is a great way to cover a few miles and make new friends! The running & walking groups are free of charge.
Every Tuesday night in Dayton at 6:00 PM at the store. All abilities welcome. Distances are under an hour on Tues. We have dedicated walk coaches to help get you started!
Every Saturday morning in Dayton 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM depending on the time of year at the store. All abilities welcome. Varying distances every weekend. We have dedicated walk coaches to help get you started, the walk group always starts at 8:00 AM! The Dayton run group currently meets at however will change to 7am on April 1st 2017 in conjunction with the time change.

Looking for a coach led group to join? We have our Air Force Marathon Training Group, a 16 week coach led program starting May 27th. Head over for our info meeting on May 10th 6pm in Dayton.
Cycling & Multisport Group
Join our outdoor cycling group Monday nights from 6:15 PM – 8:00 PM during the spring & summer months. Please contact the store for ride information. Helmets and lights/reflectivity required. Outdoor riding will resume April 3rd at the Spring Valley-Walton Park bike path location, weather depending.
We only have two more outdoor rides (September 19th and 26th.) Meet at the downtown Corwin bike path at 6:15 with pedals spinning at 6:30. Wear bright clothing and bring your blinky lights.
Make sure you have your bike, helmet, emergency identification such as a Road ID and inner tubes for your bike tires. Dress in layers and wear bright/hi viz clothing to be seen at dusk and don’t forget your blinky lights too! There is a near by port-o-john but no drinkable water, so be prepared. Plan on arriving by 6:15 to pump up your tires and get yourself ready. Group leaves promptly at 6:30.
During the winter months join us at the store for indoor spinning from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Monday evenings in the activity room at UAR Dayton. Indoor spinning will start November 7th at Up and Running in Dayton community room and continue through the end of March!
Up and Running Master’s Swim Group – Up and Running Swim and Tri
Up and Running Swim and Tri is a United States Masters Swimming (USMS) group dedicated to swimmers and triathletes who want to improve technique, endurance and speed with coached workouts, while training with a friendly, motivating group. Athletes should be comfortable swimming at least 1,800 yards in a workout format (ie not straight swimming) in one hour. USMS membership is required of all swimmers, however you may visit as a guest by filling out a 30-Day trial form and signing a waiver. Workout times are 5:00 am – 6:00 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the West Carrollton YMCA. Interested? Read more for details before joining.

Join the Up and Running Juniors running program this summer for children entering K-8th grade. The program is designed to inspire the runner in each child by offering fun, dynamic running related games to increase fitness.
Come learn and enjoy the benefits of running through a positive and rewarding experience! Your child will be grouped by ability to meet the individual needs of your child. We have created three fun groups that we hope will suit your children’s needs based on their varying degree of development The three groups are:
* Lynx – My child can run but needs frequent walking breaks during running. They can run less than 2:00 before needing a break. Sustained running for distance is new for my child.
* Servals – My child can run about a mile or 8-12 min. without requiring a break. My child has attempted sustained running for distance in a practice, race, or for fun.
* Ocelot – My child has successfully sustained running a 5K during the past year.
