Running & Walking Groups
Join our running and walking groups. It is a great way to cover a few miles and make new friends!
Every Tuesday night at 6:00 PM at the store. All abilities welcome. Distances are under an hour on Tuesdays.
Every Saturday morning 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM at the store, depending on Daylight Savings Time. All abilities welcome. Varying distances every weekend. The run group on Saturdays currently starts at 8:00 AM for the winter months.
Every Sunday morning 8:00 AM at Sugarcreek Metro Park. More and more people are venturing off the roads to the trail to mix up their training. So by popular demand we have added a trail group, Sunday mornings 8am at Sugarcreek MetroPark. Novice or expert trail runner or walker, all abilities are welcome! Please head to the trail prepared with your own hydration and nutrition based on your individual needs.
Cycling Group
Join our outdoor cycling group Monday nights from 6:15 PM – 8:00 PM during the spring & summer months. Please contact the store for ride information.
During the winter months join us at the store for indoor spinning from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday evenings. Indoor training has started and lasts through the winter. Bring your bike and your trainer. Indoor training started in November!

Swimming Group
The current UAR Swim & Tri Masters Program is swimming at the Beavercreek YMCA on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 5am-6am. For more information contact paul@upandrunningindayton.com. Occasional open water swims will be held at Caesar’s Creek during the summer months. Call UAR for open water swim details.
Paul Bizzarro has been coaching masters and age group swim programs in Katy, Texas and Dayton, Ohio since 2005. Coach Paul has a Bachelor Degree in Arts & Sciences in Education from Bowling Green University. Paul swam competitively for the Bowling Green Men’s Swim Team for four years. Paul currently works full time at Up and Running. During Paul’s masters and age group coaching stint he has conducted practices with responsibilities that include stroke technique and monitoring aerobic/anaerobic systems. As a current masters swimmer and triathlete Paul brings a great expertise to practice.
