Olympic Trials Marathon 2012
“Qualifying for the Olympic Trials was beyond a dream come true. I didn’t think I even had the potential to get the time standard in the marathon so qualifying for the Trials in my first marathon was a very pleasant surprise! Over the last two years I’ve had my highest highs and my lowest lows in running. I’ve learned more about myself than I ever wanted to know! I’m one of the youngest qualifiers in the race so it’s all about the experience this time around. I’ve been self-coached the last 8 months or so and most of my training is done alone, but I do get to occasionally do a few runs a week with my brother who is also running in the Trials. I’m very excited to race as part of Team Ordway and I’m looking forward to having the support of my family and friends in Houston!”
